I went to Donegal and I stayed in a house. We went to the Giants causeway.
I went to Kilkee with my brother and two sisters and my mam and dad. We went to see dolphins. ED
I went to Dublin and stayed with my Grandad. I went to a place where old busses, cars, trains, planes, ambulances, fire trucks, submarines were kept. LS
I went to the new playground in Mountshannon. I played a lot of hurling during the summer holidays. RH
I went to the Natural History museum with my mum, granny and two brothers. We saw huge crystals. AB
I went to Fota wildlife park with my mum and dad and I had a lot of fun.It was amazing. DH
My Auntie brought my sister and I to Lahinch. We went in to the aquarium and we got to hold starfish and touch dogfish. Then we had a picnic on the beach. NB
On my summer holidays we went to France. We went to the amusements, the weather was very hot. I loved my summer holidays in France. E O'G
I went on a sleep over to my cousins house during the holidays. We were going to go to the cinema but it was raining so it closed. AM
I went swimming, I got a new scooter. We went to my dad's shop. My summer was great. TB
In the summer I went to Dublin zoo. We went to the city as well and we saw the GPO and Dublin spire and the Halfpenny bridge. AM
We went to Fota Island. There were lots of animals. I saw a giraffe, monkeys, tigers, ring tailed lemurs and penguins. AH
My cousins came down from Edenderry and their friends came as well. I went swimming in Killaloe.CB
We went to Ashbourne and Tayto park. RB
My friend came over to my house yesterday. I went to soccer camp, it was cool. RD
We went to France. We went to the beach.The waves were very big. We had a great time. CA
We went on a walk to the highest waterfall in Ireland. When we came back we were soaked and had to change our socks and shoes. OB
I went to Delphi in Mayo and my Aunty, two cousins, Granny and Grandad came too. D O' B

I went to America this summer for two and a half months. I went to one of the biggest theme parks in America called Six Flags.I went on the biggest roller coaster in the world called King Da Ka where we went up four hundred and fifty feet high in four seconds.I went to the Bronx zoo, it's about four times the size of Dublin zoo. I was there all day and it wasn't enough time to see it all. AN

Back to school and the weather
Back to school after the holidays 31st August 2011
Yesterday was a nice day and Monday was as well. F.H.
In Belfast it was cloudy and slightly sunny. Down in Cork the weather was sunny the whole time and in Mayo the weather was hot and sunny during the summer. E.O'M.
Today is a lovely day so far no rain. S.M.
This morning it was cloudy and windy but it brightened up later. The temperature is hot. A.M.
I went to Galway city one day. It was raining in the morning but nice in the evening. G.H.
It was mixed weather cold, sunny etc. It was very nice. P.L.
The weather was bad most days but the odd day was good. M.O'R.
The weather wasn't great. L.B.

Well, the weather during the summer was not good. As I write this on 24th August, we have had sunshine, rain and even a lightning storm during which the electricity went out for a couple of hours. Let's hope things improve when we return to school.
